The Sister Kathleen Mission (SKM) is a registered not for profit 501C3 entity established in 1981.The SKM was started by Frank and Patricia Bryant after they visited their daughter, Sister Kathy Bryant, who was at that time a missionary in a village in Zambia, Africa. Frank and Pat Bryant were so shocked by the abject poverty (I heard they were using dull sissors for cesareans, and boxes for incubators that upon their return they decided to do something about it. So the Mission was born and has successfully made a difference in the lives of thousands.
The Mission is organized to create and support self-help programs overses, primarily in Africa. From the generosity of the donors to the Mission over the years, we have provided a hospital, food, medicine, and medical supplies to those in need. We have also supported farming, irrigation, eductation, and other projects that make a difference.
Through our efforts we have raised over $375,000 to date and made a remarkable difference in people's lives. Our donors should be pround, but the need continues, and grows. I believe the rewards you receive from giving are returned in the afterlife. The legacy of good intentions and deeds are together an intangible, which time cannot effect nor destroy, and which will live on long after we have left this earth.
We ask you to keep in your prayers the needs of those less fortunate than ourselves throughout the year. The SKM and the people whose lives you have touched thank you sincerely, and I am sure that God is smiling at some of the efforts we make to take care of each other.
Very Truly Yours,
Mac Bryant, President, mac-bryant@comcast.net
